1. What are the ordering periods for students to order 2007 Football season tickets?

April 1-30,2007

Any student who is enrolled for the spring quarter and will be a full-time student in the 2007 autumn quarter should order in the April sale.

The definition of a full-time student is:

Undergraduate 12 hours or more
Master, Doctoral Candidate and Graduate Professional 10 hours or more
GAA, GRA and GTA 9 hours

Students who are graduating at the end of the autumn quarter and do not meet the full time student status requirement may order a season ticket in April. You will have to provide documentation at time of pickup from your respective college advisor on department letterhead that stipulates the reason you are not full time is that you will be graduating at the end of the autumn quarter.

June 1-30, 2007

A limited number of student football tickets are made available in the June order period for new, transfer and returning students. Demand for these football tickets may exceed the supply available and thus students are encouraged to order early.  Students who are new to the University and have paid their acceptance fee as of June 1, 2007 will be mailed a brochure to the address on file with the admissions office with instructions on how to order online during the month of June. Students who pay this fee during the month of June will have to contact the Athletic Ticket Office in June to order student tickets.

Students who were not enrolled during the 2007 spring quarter but were enrolled in a previous quarter and will be returning to the University as a full time student for the autumn 2007 quarter will have to contact the Athletic Ticket Office during the month of June to order student tickets.

2. What is the cost of a Student Football season ticket and what games are included?

The cost for a student season ticket is $150.00.

This year�s season ticket includes the following games:

September 22 Northwestern
October 13 Kent State 
October 20  Michigan State
November 3 Wisconsin
November 10 Illinois

Payment: When ordering online we accept Visa, Mastercard or Discover. All orders include a $6 non-refundable processing fee.

3. Can I purchase tickets for the Youngstown St. and or Akron games?

Each student has the opportunity to purchase one ticket, two if married at a discounted rate for the games on September 1st vs. Youngstown St. and September 8th vs. Akron. The cost of each ticket is $30.

4. I am a married student how do I order an additional ticket for my spouse or domestic partner?

A second season ticket may be purchased for $150.00. (Total for two is $300.00). Married students who have not ordered two tickets in the past online will have to contact the Athletic Ticket Office prior to 5pm on the last working day of the order period to have your account reset to allow you to order two tickets.

Students purchasing a second ticket for their spouse or domestic partner who is not an OSU student will have to obtain a dependent ID for that spouse or domestic partner through the Buck ID center www.buckid.com. A dependent ID or valid OSU BUCK ID must accompany each student spouse or domestic partner ticket for admittance to all home football games. If married to another OSU student, only one application may be submitted per couple.

Students purchasing a second ticket for a spouse or domestic partner who is also a full-time student at OSU will have to show their spouses or domestic partners OSU BUCK ID and a copy of your marriage license or legal affidavit at time of pickup.

5. I will be graduating at the end of the spring or summer quarter and starting my graduate or professional coursework in the fall at Ohio State, am I eligible for student football tickets and if so when do I apply?

Students who are graduating in the 2007 spring or summer quarters and continuing education in the fall as a full-time graduate or professional student are eligible and should apply during the spring presale in April.

6. I am considered part time for the autumn quarter because I only need 8 hours to graduate can I still order student football tickets?

Students who are graduating at the end of the autumn quarter and do not meet the full time student status requirement may order a season ticket by providing documentation at the time of pickup from their respective college advisor on department letterhead that stipulates that the reason this student is not full time is that they will be graduating at the end of the autumn quarter.

8. How will my seat location be determined?

Undergraduate student seat locations will be determined by class rank with rank-4 getting the best seats followed by rank-3, rank-2 and rank-1.

Graduate student seat locations will be determined by the number of credit hours completed as a graduate student or by the highest-class rank attained as an undergraduate if that undergraduate work was done at The Ohio State University, whichever rank is larger.

Professional student seat locations will be determined by using the current class rank or by the highest-class rank attained as an undergraduate if that undergraduate work was done at The Ohio State University, whichever rank is larger.

Class rank used to determine seating is based on all coursework completed through the 2007 winter quarter.

9. I would like to sit in Block O how do I do that?

Choose the Block O item online when ordering to be placed in this section. The Block O Student cheering section is located in section 39A. All students in this area are required to participate in organized cheering. Block O is a general admission seating section, thus there is no need to join a group if you select this option. Students who choose to sit in Block O are required to pay an additional $10.00 Block O membership fee.

Block O student football tickets are not upgradeable.

10. I have ordered a student season ticket and am no longer a student can I request a refund?

Students who are not full time autumn quarter (as defined by University guidelines) or who chose not to enroll are eligible for a refund minus any processing fees. A written request with name, social security number, and mailing address must be received in the Ticket Office by September 7, 2007 for a season ticket refund. Students who ordered the Youngstown St. and or Akron games may request a refund through August 17, 2007. 

No refunds will be granted after the deadline.

11. Will my ticket be mailed to me?

Student tickets are not mailed. Student tickets will be available for pickup starting Wednesday August 15, 2007. Students must present a valid OSU BUCK ID for the autumn quarter and have their autumn quarter fees paid in full in order to pick up their season ticket. Students ordering the Youngstown St. and or Akron games will have to be enrolled for classes for the autumn quarter prior to picking up tickets for either of these games. Married students tickets can only be picked up by the spouse or domestic partner whose name the tickets were purchased in. The student spouse or domestic partner need not be present at time of pickup as long as the student picking up the tickets has their spouses or domestic partners dependent ID, or OSU BUCK ID and marriage license or legal affidavit if the spouse or domestic partner is also an OSU student.

12. Can someone else pickup my student season ticket?

No. Every student has to pick up their own ticket and must be enrolled full-time and have their autumn quarter fees paid in full prior to pick up.

13. Can I give my student season ticket to someone else to use during the season?

Patrons using an Ohio State University Student Football ticket for admittance to any home football game will be required to show a valid autumn quarter BUCK ID or dependent spouse ID at the gates for admittance. Students may give their ticket and BUCK ID to their parents or siblings � no upgrade necessary.

14. How do I upgrade my ticket if I cannot attend a game and will not be allowing an immediate family member to use my season ticket?

 The Ohio State University Football student ticket is sold at a discounted rate and its use is intended for those who are enrolled full time autumn quarter students. If a student elects to allow a member of the general public to use their student ticket and does not want to give them their BUCK ID to show at the gate the student may upgrade their ticket to the public rate.

New in 2007 Advance Season ticket upgrade.

Students may choose to upgrade their entire season ticket during the April or June sale period. The cost of an upgraded student season ticket is $315 which includes a $15 upgrade fee. Students who choose this option will still have to meet all the criteria outlined in Number 11 above in regards to pickup of the upgraded tickets. Students who do not choose to upgrade in April or June will still have the opportunity to upgrade their tickets on a game by game basis in the fall subject to the fees listed below. Also new in 2007 students who order the option games will have the opportunity to upgrade those on an individual game basis in the fall.

Block O season tickets are not upgradeable.

Only the original student ticket purchaser may upgrade their student ticket with their valid OSU BUCK ID at the Athletic ticket office in the fall. The cost to upgrade in the fall will be based on the difference between the student discounted individual game price ($30) and the public individual game price ($60) as well as a service fee that will increase with each subsequent upgrade during that season.

First game upgrade fee: $3 per ticket
Second game upgrade fee: $5 per ticket
Third game upgrade fee: $10 per ticket
Fourth thru seventh game fee: $15 per ticket

Upgrades will not be done the day of any game. No exceptions.

15. I will be doing an internship during the autumn quarter am I eligible to order student football tickets?

Many programs at Ohio State include an internship as part of their curriculum. If you are doing an internship during the autumn quarter you still have to be registered as a full time student to be eligible for student football tickets. If you have any questions regarding your specific internship please contact our office.

16. Can I verify who has joined my group?

You will receive an email at the end of the June student sale that provides you with a link that will show you all of the students who have joined your group, the associated deck choice and the class rank that will be used to do your seating. Seating requests are filled based on class rank. If your seating request is not available the Athletic Ticket Office will assign the next best available seating.

17. How do I change my group choice or join a group after I�ve already ordered?

 You will have to email the Athletic Ticket Office athletic.tix@osu.edu with the following information for us to be able to add your group name to your order:

  •  Your full name
  • Last 4 digits of your social security number
  • Name of one other member who has all ready placed order in group
  • Name of group and password of the group that you would like to join

The deadline to make any group changes is July 6, 2007.

18. I need to change my deck choice for my season ticket that I see on my confirmation page how can I do that?

You will have to email the Athletic Ticket Office at athletic.tix@osu.edu with the following information to request a change. Please note submitting a request to change your deck choice does not guarantee your request can be accommodated. Seating requests are based on class rank and if your choice is not available when we seat your order the Athletic Ticket Office will assign the next best available seating.

  • Your full name
  • Last 4 digits of your social security number
  • New deck preference

The deadline to make any changes is July 6, 2007.

19. Can I join different groups for different games?

Yes, you may join as many groups as you would like and these group names will appear in the drop down box in Step 2 for each item you purchase. Thus, if you would like to sit with one group for all of the games included in your season ticket and a different group for each of the option games you just have to create, join and then select the different group names in the order process for each item.

20. Can an incoming student who orders in June be seated with a group of students who ordered in April?

Yes, the same group names and passwords can be accessed during the June Student sale. You will need to send the group name and password to any students you would like to join your group so they can use the join a group function and be able to select that group when they process their order. Please remember group seating assignments are based on the student in the group with the lowest rank.

21. Can I purchase tickets to away football games?

A limited number of away game football tickets to the games listed below are available to students and may be ordered online. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis, thus some games may be sold out at time of purchase. 

 September 15 At Washington $65
September 29 At Minnesota $50
October 6 At Purdue $65
October 27 At Penn State $58

There will be a lottery conducted for a very limited number of student football tickets for the away game at Michigan. This lottery will be conducted in early October. Students who meet the eligibility requirements outlined below will be sent an email to their current OSU email address with instructions on how to take part in the lottery.

 November 17 At Michigan $60

To be eligible for away game tickets and the Michigan lottery students must have purchased 2007 Ohio State student football season tickets and meet all the requirements outlined above in item 2. If you request a refund for your student season ticket any away game tickets you may have purchased will be refunded as well.

Away Game Ticket pickup:
Student away game ticket pickup will take place the week of each away game at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Jerome Schottenstein Center. Students wishing to sit together must pick up their tickets at the same time at the Ticket Office. And as always a current OSU BUCK ID will need to be shown at time of pick up.
